Where to dive next?

Everyone’s got a wish list, what’s your suggestions? We’ve been to most of the
Caribbean, and a few Pacific sites. While its tempting to return to some great places we
loved, there’s a lot of world out there to see. It seems every place has it’s unique
charms and marine life features, not to be missed!

Here’s some top locations we’re interested in for future diving and photography trips.

  1. Red Sea- going to be on the list a while probably, but hopefully some day.
  2. Tahiti- for the romance of it all, and black pearls, have to win the lottery first though.
  3. Mediterranean- Grecian Isles, talk about ancient shipwrecks!
  4. Maldives or Seychelles- looks idyllic, exotic and a world away.
  5. Australia -got that “great” thing down there, so must be a diver’s pilgrimage at some
    point in your dive life.
  6. Galapagos- wild and wooly, but definitely an adventure.
  7. Thailand- another culture a world away.
  8. Grenada- a local diver swears by this place.
  9. Costa Rica- not just for diving, but to catch up with some former dive buddies!
  10. Any deal that’s too good to pass up- we’ve gone to some unintended places
because of this, and not been disappointed yet.

Top “Return-To” list:

On the “return- to” list will always be:

Cozumel, Mexico- for the easy drift diving, colorful reef life, and the great food and
drink! Of course it seems first impressions always leave a mark, and Coz was our first
big dive trip getaway, so it will always be on the return list.

Palau -Cathy’s favorite for the best reef diving and marine life. No ill-advised fish
feeding needed here for sights of sharks and expansive marine life. We stayed on a live
aboard and docked near the beautiful rock islands almost every day.

Chuuk/Truk lagoon- Mickey’s choice for ultimate wreck diving, his absolute diving
passion!

Belize’s Turneffe Island Lodge-a great secluded place for both relaxation and fabulous
diving. Upgrade to the beach cottages for ultimate away from it all experience.

Fiji Beqa Lagoon Resort (formerly Marlin Bay) -forget the rest of the world, the staff
and location makes you never want to leave. It will always have a special place
because of the great group of dive buddies we experienced this with.

Bonaire, NA- always a good trip with easy no-schedule diving and great marine life.
Some great trips and dive buddy memories here, too.
